Dreams Can Come True (Disney Princess)

Brand: Ravensburger

Pieces: 150 XXL
Size: 49cm x 36cm

Product Code: 128730

This puzzle image today was chosen by my beautiful little girl who just got out of bed and decided to join me. She selected it because she saw all the Disney princesses and loves Moana. I'm glad she chose it, because I was seriously unsure about which one I should put up today!

Honestly, I'm a little frazzled, because today is the Victorian puzzle competition (which I am attending and competing in) but I have not had the chance to practice at all, and the weather is disgusting out there and we still have to travel, and last year I arrived over half an hour late and didn't complete the puzzle in time! I just want to finish and get a good time, without that anxiety haha! Time will tell how I go, but wish me luck!

I haven't really got much to say about this puzzle but that the quality was perfect Ravensburger-style and the design was appealing. Sorry for the brevity.

Now I really need to go get ready. I'll let you know next week how I went!

Disney Princess Collage

Brand: Ceaco

Pieces: 1000
Size: 68cm x 48cm

Product Code: -

You may have noticed that this post has come out a little later than is the norm- I usually post on a Saturday morning but this weekend I was working and was unable to get it out until now- my first day off! So I've decided to put up a cute puzzle that I did a while ago that represents some of the characters I saw over the weekend! I was working at Melbourne Supanova and saw quite a few cosplay Disney princesses strolling around, hence the above image.

I really enjoyed doing this puzzle- I'm not sure why but stained glass images really appeal to me. Not only do they look super cool but they also provide a bit more of a challenge. I'm one of those people that used to always do the border pieces first, but with ones like this, it's so much easier to get the bulk of the image completed first and then leave the border pieces for the end.

The image design for this one was stunning and vibrant and I really enjoyed piecing it together.

I'll be travelling again over the next few weekends, so my posting will once again be a little bit sporadic. Next weekend I will be attending a Friday wedding and we'll likely be staying the night in the town it's being held, so I probably won't be posting until the Sunday. And the weekend after will see me in Sydney for work once again (so that one may be a Monday afternoon affair (or I might just postpone it until the following weekend, depending on how I feel).

Regardless, know that I will be looking forward to posting up some more puzzle images very very soon...

Until then, take care!

Adventurous Spirit

Brand:
Ravensburger

Pieces: 100 XXL
Size: 49cm x 36cm

Product Code: 104093

Like many people the world over, I was saddened yesterday to hear the news that Queen Elizabeth II had passed. She was such an iconic role model and a beautiful woman in so many ways. It's hard to believe that she is gone now, especially after having reigned as Queen for my whole lifetime, and that of my parents too!

I have two puzzles in my stash that feature her and unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to doing them yet, despite having owned one of them for years! I have the Eurographics one that features a younger Queen sitting on her throne, and I have the more recent Winning Moves one, which is a montage of lots of different images throughout the years. I was going to buy a few that celebrate her jubilee but they may be harder to come by now, unless they re-release them as a commemorative thing. Anyway, because I have not yet done those puzzles, I have decided to put up this one of Aladdin's Princess Jasmine instead. I realise there's no way that they can really compare, but Jasmine is one of my favourite Disney Princesses, and that's the closest to royalty that I could find in my completed stash at such short notice!

This puzzle is only 100 extremely large pieces, but I loved the image and couldn't resist purchasing it. I've listed it for sale, but if no one buys it, I'd be happy to keep it for my daughter if she one day decides she wants it.

Now I'll have to fast-track my Queen Elizabeth II puzzle-doing.

Rest peacefully beautiful soul xo

Disney Pix Collection: Princess Selfies

Brand: Jumbo

Pieces: 1000
Size: 68cm x 49cm

Product Code: 19763

My little daughter has just turned one and a half, and we've been watching a lot of sing-a-long versions of Disney songs on Youtube. She absolutely loves some of them, and so I thought I'd put this puzzle up for her, as it features a few of her favourites.

I purchased this puzzle from a UK website and loved it. I've only done a few Jumbo-branded puzzles but they've all been high quality. The pieces fit together perfectly and the design is lovely.

I have several more puzzles from this brand in my collection (including a few fantasy-inspired ones) and I'm looking forward to doing them at some point!

Disney Jasmine

Brand: Yanoman (Prism Art)
Pieces: 70
Size: 10cm x 14.7cm
Product Code: 97-179

It is quite apparent to anyone who has followed me on this blog (and my accompanying Instagram account) that I am a fan of the Disney franchise. I love the films, the characters and all that comes with it- including jigsaw puzzles!

Although I have not yet had the chance to see the new live-action Aladdin film, I have seen loads of references to it on social media, as well as spoken to friends who have seen and loved it.

Because of this, I have decided to put up this small Jasmine puzzle that I purchased while holidaying in Japan a few years ago. The pieces are made of a see-through plastic that 'click' together when you assemble the puzzle. I also bought a couple of other ones, and it was a toss-up about whether I would post this one today or a Frozen-themed puzzle (considering I just saw a trailer for the new film which will be coming out). Maybe Frozen can be for another day...

The quality of this puzzle is amazing and the colours (as you can see) are quite vibrant. Although small (this puzzle is postcard sized), it is definitely a favourite!

Gallery Of The Disney Princesses

Brand: Ravensburger
Pieces: 300
Size: 49cm x 36cm
Product Code:  131082

Yesterday was International Women's Day- a day to celebrate female empowerment.

Now, I'm not usually a huge fan of these kinds of days. I don't really think it's necessary to have a day solely dedicated to women and their achievements. Some may say that it's needed, and I respect that, but I think that every day should be celebrated, by everyone. Regardless, I have decided to post this picture of a puzzle I completed featuring some of the Disney princesses. Serious feminists may say that these women are subjegated, by their circumstances/ other characters, etc but I still think they are important characters for young girls to grow up with. Plus, I didn't currently have any other 'women' puzzles to put up!

The pieces in this puzzle were of a larger size but the colours were vibrant and it was relatively quick to complete. With a pretty design, this collection of a few of the Disney princesses will go down a treat with any young princess fan.

Mickey's Birthday

Brand: Ravensburger
Pieces: 1000
Size: 70cm x 50cm
Product Code:   190195

During the week it was my birthday! I'm not going to let on exactly how old I turned but I can say that it is considered a milestone birthday, it was a memorable day and that I actually made it!

I have decided to put up another Disney puzzle- and what would be better than one where Mickey Mouse is celebrating his birthday with all the rest of our favourite characters?! I thought this would be a fitting one for the occasion. Bright and cheerful, many popular characters feature in this one, including some of the playful pups from 101 Dalmatians, some of the Disney princesses (including my favourites Jasmine and Belle) and of course, Mickey and co.

This puzzle, being Disney-themed and Ravensburger, was quick and relatively simple, but still a pleasure to do. As I mentioned, the design is bright and fun and certainly perfect for fans of the Disney franchise.

A Disney Christmas

Brand: Ravensburger
Pieces: 1000
Size: 70cm x 50cm
Product Code:  192878

I was a little late posting this blog today, so sorry about that!

My husband's family usually celebrate on Christmas Eve and then have a relatively low-key Christmas day, so it was all hustle and bustle this morning to prepare for our delicious late family lunch. Christmas tomorrow will be with my family, but I have every intention of posting one more Christmas- themed blog for the holiday season (particularly because I have three more photos of small Christmas puzzles to post, which I completed last night).

That said, you can't have Christmas Eve without some sort of Christmas-themed puzzle, and what better way to celebrate than with Disney! The above puzzle was relatively quick to do, especially because I knew all the characters and could sort the pieces quite easily. This puzzle features all the Disney favourites as they celebrate the most wonderful time of the year (to take the lyrics from that popular carol).

Disney fans are sure to enjoy the festive spirit instilled in this image with all the characters frolicking in the snow around their beautifully decorated Christmas tree.

Brilliant Princesses (Disney)

Brand: Tenyo
Pieces: 1000
Size: 29.7cm x 42cm
Product Code:  DW-1000-433

As you may have figured from viewing this blog and my accompanying Instagram account, I'm a really big fan of Disney, and have been since early childhood. There's just something about those familiar characters that makes me want to relive some of the moments I watched on video (back in the day!) and later DVD. As a result, when I see a Disney jigsaw puzzle available, I can't help but go a little bit gaga and get all nostalgic!

This puzzle covers the bases- it's Disney, it's made by one of my favourite Japanese jigsaw puzzle makers, Tenyo, and, best of all, it features six of the popular Disney Princesses. It's also slightly unique in its design, with a stained-glass window style (although the pieces are made of cardboard). I think there may be a similar puzzle (also by Tenyo) available, made using coloured plastic pieces, although I was not able to get a hold of that version.

Another unique aspect to this puzzle is the piece sizes. Each piece is tiny- slightly smaller than an Australian five cent piece (the size equivalent to an American dime)- which means that the finished puzzle is quite small compared to other 1000 piece puzzles.

The pieces in this puzzle are tiny

This puzzle has a bright and pretty design and would make a key addition to the collection of any Disney puzzle lover. I found that it was easier to work on each individual princess and then do the black border last of all to save on confusion, especially since some of the pieces seemed interchangeable.Make sure you look out for this one!
