Disney Frozen Anna

Brand: Yanoman

Pieces: 70
Size:  10cm x 14.7cm

Product Code: 97-70

I'm on a fairly tight schedule today so I didn't have much time to decide which puzzle to post- that's where the child comes in! Her choice? Anna from Frozen.

Luckily I had a little puzzle photo on standby which I was able to grab from my collection. I purchased this mini puzzle on a visit to Japan, and bought a few others from the series at the same time. They're cute little time-fillers and, evidently, photo choices for busy mums who are trying to do their weekly blog!

Mickey & Friends Dance Party

Brand: Yanoman (Petit)

Pieces: 204
Size: 10cm x 14.7cm

Product Code: 98-579

Today I've decided to put up a mini puzzle I completed some time ago. This puzzle is postcard-sized when completed and I purchased it from a Japanese website a few years ago. I love how it has such tiny pieces, especially when you consider there are over 200 pieces. The design is a cute Mickey Mouse one and although it's hard to capture all the details in my photo, I can guarantee that it is very high quality!

Sorry I don't have time to write much more about this one today- I'm extremely short on time but I thought I'd better post something (no matter how little) regardless.

What's the smallest size puzzle you've ever done (count or dimensions wise?)

Elsa (Disney's Frozen)

Brand: Yanoman

Pieces: 70
Size: 10cm x 14.7cm
Product Code:  97-69

I have decided to extend on last week's post and put up the above puzzle today. Last week I mentioned my love for musicals and explained that Frozen: The Musical would be coming to Melbourne in Winter.

Having said that, I thought I would put up this small postcard-sized puzzle that I purchased from the Japanese brand Yanoman.

This puzzle was one of a series which also included Elsa's sister Anna, Rapunzel (from Tangled) and Cinderella. I'm not sure if there were other Disney princesses but those were the ones that I saw available at the time. These puzzles, as I mentioned, are postcard sized when completed, and the pieces are made from a thin, partially see-through plastic which click together nicely.

I thought the illustrations of the princesses were quite pretty, and that was my main drawcard towards buying them. The style of the puzzle pieces was also a motivator- you don't often come across puzzle pieces that aren't made of cardboard or wood.

Like all the Japanese brands I have come across, the quality of this puzzle was perfect. If only they were more readily available!

Disney Frozen: Anna & Elsa

Brand: Yanoman (Petit) - Prism Art
Pieces: 70
Size: 10cm x 14.7cm
Product Code:  97-180

In the three or so years that I've been running this blog and accompanying Instagram page, I think I've only missed one or two Saturdays of posting something up. Even then, I have managed to put something up either a few days before or after, as I knew I wouldn't have the chance otherwise.

I'm afraid this is going to be the case again next week. One of my brother's is getting married, and I'll be travelling to Sydney over the weekend to help celebrate! So my post for next week is likely to be done on Sunday night. Never fear though, I won't forget! I just thought I'd let you know so that you don't think I'm lacking! Hahaha

OK, so today, I've decided to post the above picture of a small Japanese puzzle featuring the leading ladies from Frozen! I absolutely loved the first film and am excited for the sequel which will be coming out in cinemas soon. This puzzle wasn't made of cardboard pieces- instead the pieces were a thin opaque plastic which clicked together nicely. I love the superior quality of Japanese jigsaw puzzles and this one was no exception!

Disney Tangled Rapunzel

Brand: Yanoman
Pieces: 70
Size: 10cm x 14.7cm
Product Code: 97-71

One of my best friends dabbles in theatre when she's not working her normal 9-5 job, and she is absolutely amazing! Each year, she performs in a production by a small local theatre company Medimime- which is made up of Barwon Health staff members and their families- and they perform a fun pantomime to raise money for Barwon Health and various wards of the Geelong Hospital.

This year's panto will be Rapunzel, and Kate will get to don her evil garb and play the bad guy once again, so I thought it would be fitting to put up a pic of this puzzle I completed of Disney's version of Rapunzel- Tangled. This small puzzle is from the exceptional Japanese company Yanoman, and the pieces are made from a thin, partially see-through plastic that clicks together in a very satisfying way! There are several other Disney Princesses in this series, which are illustrated in a similar style. I love these designs- they're so pretty, and the colours are wonderful.

Disney Jasmine

Brand: Yanoman (Prism Art)
Pieces: 70
Size: 10cm x 14.7cm
Product Code: 97-179

It is quite apparent to anyone who has followed me on this blog (and my accompanying Instagram account) that I am a fan of the Disney franchise. I love the films, the characters and all that comes with it- including jigsaw puzzles!

Although I have not yet had the chance to see the new live-action Aladdin film, I have seen loads of references to it on social media, as well as spoken to friends who have seen and loved it.

Because of this, I have decided to put up this small Jasmine puzzle that I purchased while holidaying in Japan a few years ago. The pieces are made of a see-through plastic that 'click' together when you assemble the puzzle. I also bought a couple of other ones, and it was a toss-up about whether I would post this one today or a Frozen-themed puzzle (considering I just saw a trailer for the new film which will be coming out). Maybe Frozen can be for another day...

The quality of this puzzle is amazing and the colours (as you can see) are quite vibrant. Although small (this puzzle is postcard sized), it is definitely a favourite!

Hibiscus (Disney's Lilo & Stitch)

Brand: Yanoman (Petit)
Pieces: 204
Size: 10cm x 14.7cm
Product Code:  98-339

I've probably gone on about it in the past, but I absolutely love Japanese-branded puzzles! Not only are they usually of exceptional quality, but they always have amazing designs and the make is usually spot on- (the pieces are not too loose-fitting or too tight). Best of all (in my personal opinion), they usually have smaller pieces than other brands, which means that they take up less space dimension-wise! Win!

The above puzzle fits the above category perfectly. This one is from Yanoman's petit range, where the puzzle is made up of 204 tiny, tiny, pieces and the finished design is literally the size of a postcard. These puzzles come with a pair of tweezers too, to help people with larger fingers piece it together (if need be). Furthermore, each box is the size of a pack of playing cards, which means they're extremely affordable (postage-wise) if you want to buy a few.

I decided to put up the above photo today because, unlike other Disney characters, I don't think Lilo & Stitch get as much recognition as other more popular characters. It's Stitch's time to shine!!
