Disney Princess: Moana

Brand: Crown

Pieces: 48
Size:  23cm x 26cm

Product Code: 020375

Hi all!

In all the excitement of Halloween a few weeks back, I forgot to say that I was going to be absent the next week (which turned out to be last weekend) cos I was working interstate again. Hope you didn't miss me (or this blog) too much! Because of that, I didn't put up any posts or images and I'm sorry for not giving you the heads up about it. But that is likely the last time that will happen for a while, so never fear!

Today I have decided to put up this image from a quick little cube puzzle I did. It took such a short amount of time to do, because of its piece size but the design image was bright and fun. I think it only cost $2 to buy though 😅😂I've chosen this one after watching the film last night, and in anticipation of the sequel which will be released sometime soon. I'll try and get a more substantial-sized puzzle done and up soon.

Have a great weekend!

Dreamworks Family On Tour

Brand: Ravensburger

Pieces: 1000
Size:  70cm x 50cm

Product Code: 139750

I'm finally starting to approach the end of my cross-stitching stint, which I think I mentioned in my previous posts, so that means there will soon be more, newer puzzle images on the way! In the meantime, here is one that I did a little while ago and that I absolutely loved.

I've seen most of the films that these characters appear in, so it was a pleasure to do the puzzle and reminisce about where they come from. The quality was exceptional and I was so lucky to be able to find a copy of this puzzle on Facebook Marketplace at the time, because it can be quite difficult to come by.

Hope you have a great weekend and keep on puzzling!

Pusheen The Cat: Pusheen & Friends

Brand: Impact Merch

Pieces: 460
Size: 40cm x 40cm

Product Code: IMPZ0117

When I posted my photo last week of the Barbie puzzle, I didn't realise that they were going to release the trailer for the new Barbie film starring Margot Robbie later on in the week! How random! But also, how good was the timing?

This week, I was hoping to post a picture of a Super Mario puzzle that I have been working on for the release of the new film (featuring the voice of Chris Pratt). I was going to go see it on Thursday but unfortunately wasn't feeling too well so I didn't get there. But that's OK, because as I said, I'm still working on the puzzle. Still working... it's a 500 piece puzzle and usually I would have had it complete, but this one is killing me! I have approximately 80% of it done but the sky and grass are solid colours and the pieces are ALL THE SAME! you can seriously interchange most of the pieces and then it doesn't fit together as nicely as it's meant to so you have to pull them out and try a different combination. I'm about to lose it but I really want to complete it properly for my photos. The annoying thing is, it's from a brand that makes puzzles as their business, and I've done cheaper-branded puzzles of lower quality that don't have anywhere near the same problem. Very disappointing but I'm going to keep plugging at it.

I also hoped to put up an Easter-themed puzzle since tomorrow is the day but I couldn't find anything in my stash so the above puzzle will have to do for this time round. It's kind of fitting because my daughter has been crawling around lately pretending to be a cat! The above puzzle was a nice and quick one to do, and is a quite cute image of Pusheen and friends enjoying some ice cream together.

Next week I won't be posting because I'll be travelling for work and won't have access to my photos/laptop etc (besides the fact that I will be very busy!) but I'll make sure I have something ready for the week after.

Have a happy and safe Easter with your loved ones and I'll see you in two weeks xo

Nickelodeon Cast

Brand: Aquarius
Pieces: 1000
Size: 51cm x 71cm
Product Code:  65-317

During the week, I started a new job as a warehouse packer for an awesome store.

They ship thousands of items a day to people all over the world, and specialise in anything to do with popculture. One of the things I packed yesterday was a cool-as Loungefly backpack that featured all the great 90's cartoons of Nickelodeon, and so I was inspired to put up this puzzle today because of it.

I did this puzzle a little while ago, and I love that I can name a majority of the characters. I used to love some of these shows when I was a kid, especially Rugrats, Aah! Real Monsters, Catdog, Rocko's Modern Life and Hey Arnold (but especially Rugrats!)

This puzzle was a great nostalgia hit!

Fashion Fabulous Barbie

Brand: Buffalo
Pieces: 1000
Size: 68cm x 50cm
Product Code:  11660

It was hard to decide which puzzle to put up today.

I wanted it to be something fun and pretty- cos it's my birthday!!

It's also quite possibly the last puzzle I will be putting up for a while because I am scheduled for surgery this coming Monday and I'm not sure how my recovery will go (or whether I will be able to do many of the things I ordinarily do). Hopefully that isn't the case but you never know!

So.... Pressure's on!

Here's the choice- Fashion Fabulous Barbie...

Reminiscing to my childhood days, Barbie was one of my favourites- maybe because she looked the complete opposite to me, and was so stylish and pretty. When I discovered this puzzle I just had to buy it- it's not often that you see a favourite childhood toy immortalised in a puzzle design for ADULTS! All the Barbie designs I have seen before this (and since) have been aimed at children, with extremely low piece counts.

This Buffalo puzzle was a joy to do- the pieces fit snugly, the design is bright and busy and the imagery is wonderful.

So I think it's fitting that this is my birthday and 'sayonara for now' puzzle.

Hopefully my recovery will be smooth and I'll be able to continue on with this blog (and my instagram). Just know that as soon as I am able, I will get back to it!

Cheers!

Goosebumps Classic Book Covers

Brand: Outset Media Corp.
Pieces: 275
Size: 61cm x 46cm
Product Code: PRC-300923-052015

Hands up if you used to read the children's book series Goosebumps when you were a kid?
Insanely popular in the 1990s, R.L. Stine's novels were the thing to read, and even spawned their own television series. The books, while not particularly scary, were the catalyst to get many kids reading- including those who never showed much of an interest in books beforehand!

I, being an avid reader anyway, absolutely devoured these books, and had quite a collection of them (as did one of my brothers). When I saw this puzzle, I knew I had to do it for nostalgic reasons, even though the piece count is quite small compared to my usual standard. The puzzle was quick, fun and easy, with a variety of different shaped large pieces. The cardboard was thick and the design brightly printed.

Although it only covers a selection of the book covers, it was still a treat to do, and provided a lovely walk down memory lane...
