Deck The Shelves

Brand:
Galison

Pieces: 1000
Size: 50.8cm x 68.58cm

Product Code: -

Today is the second day of December, so I thought I'd follow last year's format and put up Christmas puzzles for the month of December.

There's just something about seasonal puzzles isn't there? They allow you to enjoy the holiday mood but without all the drama of gift buying and tree presentation.

The first puzzle I've selected for the month is a cute illustrated puzzle from Galison called Deck The Shelves. It features all your traditional Christmas motifs on a pretty shelf display which I absolutely love. This puzzle wasn't as hard to do as you'd expect, despite many of the colours repeating throughout the design, and they fit together nicely.

Have you started your Christmas-themed puzzling yet? How many do you have in your stash?

Sisters Of Sun

Brand: Anatolian
Pieces: 1000
Size: 48cm x 66cm
Product Code: 3065

Tomorrow is International Women's Day, so I thought it would be fitting to put up this beautiful puzzle of three strong women.

When I first saw this design, I thought it was so striking, but it was difficult to find. Anatolian is not as easy to purchase in Australia as some of the other puzzle companies, and there are only a few businesses I have been able to find that stock the brand.

Luckily, one of the ones I do purchase from had this particular design in stock so I was able to get it. The colours are so rich and the design is so pretty. I've only done a few Anatolian puzzles but, like the others, the quality on this one was wonderful.

Japanese Garden

Brand: Cardinal
Pieces: 500
Size: 35.5cm x 27.9cm
Product Code:    -

Isn't it amazing how fast time flies.

It was only two years ago that I had just returned from a fantastic holiday to Japan with my then boyfriend (now husband), but I didn't even realise it had been so long until Facebook 'reminded' me!

To mark the occasion, I have decided to put up a picture of one of my Japanese-themed puzzles.

This puzzle by Cardinal was a pleasure to do, and the first I ever did from this brand. The puzzle pieces are quite small (which is something I tend to appreciate with a small working space) and well-made. The design, as you can see, is stunning. While we were in Japan, we saw many traditional temples and gardens like this one (especially in Kyoto) and this puzzle brings back beautiful memories.

If you have never been to Japan, I highly recommend visiting- the country and it's people are beautiful!
