Funny Animals

Brand:
Yazz

Pieces: 1000
Size:  68cm x 48cm

Product Code: 3867

It's finally the Labour Day long weekend!

I've been hanging out for this for such a long time - I definitely could use the break after working so many extra hours over the last few weeks. In fact, this time last week, I was unable to post because I was working my first Saturday in a very long time. But thankfully that's all done now and I can go back to regular posting and weekend activities.

Today we have plans to visit the Werribee Zoo (because we were gifted a membership for Christmas and, well, why not?!) so I have decided to put up this puzzle of a collection of different animals. Granted, many of the animals in this design are farm animals and wouldn't be found in a zoo, but I still thought it was a cute image.

The quality of this puzzle was fantastic and I really enjoyed putting it together.

Are you having a long weekend this weekend? If so, how will you be spending it?

Cats And Dogs Museum

Brand: Arrow Puzzles

Pieces: 500
Size: 52cm x 38cm

Product Code: -

Today (August 26) is National Dog Day so I have decided to put up this comical illustration of cats and dogs in a museum setting. This puzzle was part of a three-part series from Arrow Puzzles, and although I usually try to buy all the parts of a set, I only purchased this particular puzzle. I can't remember if it was because the others weren't available or because the other designs just didn't appeal to me, but this was the one I chose to buy. The quality was alright for the price though, so I'm not complaining. And the illustration is quite cute.

It's so bizarre that I thought I had a lot more images of dogs in my collection of completed puzzles, and yet this was one of the only ones I could find. I must have a lot more hidden away that I haven't gotten to yet- at least I hope I do! Considering how many puzzles are in my to-do- list, I'd be concerned if I didn't.

Speaking of which, that puzzle list is continuing to grow at an alarming rate as more and more amazing designs come out. I have absolutely no self control when it comes to purchasing these, and it's almost embarrassing now. I really need to make a dent in that pile soon.

How big is your to-do pile?

Ballroom Blushes!

Brand: Wasgij? (Holdson)
Pieces: 1000
Size: 68.8cm x 49.3cm
Product Code:  17

Even though I like to post up pictures of all the puzzles I do, I was a bit hesitant about putting up this one.

I think it may have been because I was worried about ruining the surprise involved in doing Wasgij? puzzles, where the picture on the box only provides a clue as to what the finished image will be once the puzzle is complete.

Despite this concern, I did decide to put it up after all. I mean, what does it really matter? You only have to google the title to have plenty of other images pop up- mine is hardly going to make a difference!

This was a fun and slightly different puzzle to do. Like I mentioned earlier, the picture on the box is only a clue as to what the final image will be, which makes the puzzle slightly more challenging. You have to use your detective skills to work out where the pieces go and what you're going to end up with.

Ballroom Blushes is number 17 in this series, and it's the only one I have done so far, but I'm sure I'll pick up more in the future, provided they are still around.
