Summer Doggy Days

Brand: Puzzlebug
Pieces: 100
Size: 22cm x 28cm
Product Code: -

I'm not sure what the weather is like where you are, but at the moment, we're going through a bit of a heat wave! Over the last few days, we've had temperatures reaching over 40 degrees celcius! Wayyyyy too hot for me! Luckily I've been inside most of the time at work (with air conditioning)  but I've still felt the heat.

I thought I'd put up a 'summery' picture today because of this. This was one of the cheap Puzzlebug puzzles that I came across one day at Kmart. These puzzles usually have images different to those you would normally find, and I thought the above design was relevant to this post. Quick, easy, and relatively good quality for the price, these puzzles are alright for a bit of cheap fun.

Disney Moments: Bambi (1942) (Collector's Edition)

Brand: Ravensburger
Pieces: 1000
Size: 70cm x 50cm
Product Code: 196777

I did this puzzle quite a while ago but have decided to put it up today. My reason? Just because.

Part of the Disney Moments puzzle collection by Ravensburger, this was a very cute puzzle to do, and one I quite enjoyed. I have purchased all the designs in this series and am currently trying to get the rest which were released later but are a little bit harder to come by. These more difficult ones include Aladdin and Lady And The Tramp- I'm going to persevere! They're just too awesome!

I had grand plans to put up an Australian-themed puzzle today, as tomorrow is Australia Day. But that idea went out the window when I realised I hadn't planned for that, and therefore not completed a puzzle in time for it. This is  despite having many scenic designs in my collection. Oh well, next time!

Pets Rock Music

Brand: MB Puzzle (Crown)
Pieces: 1000
Size: 45.7cm x 60.9cm
Product Code: -

This is the last of the puzzles that I have from this series, so I thought I'd put it up today.

Although I can't say I'm a huge fan of the designs, I can appreciate the time spent to recreate each music icon using dogs and cats as the canvases. It is really quite clever, especially with how recognisable the animals are as the person/ band they're meant to be representing.

Once again, the quality for these puzzles was quite good, and the ease of  putting the puzzle together was simple, when you separated the pieces according to each section/ block of the design.

This is a cheap yet well-made brand, with a variety of designs, and I'm sure I'll be purchasing more in the future.

Millaa Millaa Falls, QLD

Brand: Ken Duncan Images Of Australia (Crown & Andrews)
Pieces: 748
Size: 31cm x 83cm
Product Code: -

Even though the current bushfires that are ravaging Australia are located mostly in New South Wales and Victoria. I thought I would put up an image of a puzzle where Queensland's nature is the focus. This place looks absolutely beautiful, and although I had never heard of it before I found the puzzle, I would love to visit this lush and tropical-looking paradise.

Ken Duncan is such a fantastic Australian photographer and is able to capture natural scenes perfectly. I am so glad that he has a range of puzzles to his name, even if the boxes can be obscenely large for the size of the puzzle 😂. That said, the puzzles are usually of strong quality, with a nice fit and good colour.

I will continue to purchase and do them as I see them in store.

Dancing With Colors

Brand: Anatolian
Pieces: 500
Size: 33cm x 48cm
Product Code: 3554

When I first saw this Anatolian puzzle, I fell in love with the image. I haven't done many puzzles from this brand before because they are a little harder to get in Australia- there are only a few stockists that I have been able to find so if I really like a design, I'll get it from them.

The collage-style artwork really stands out for me, and the colours are amazing- a bit hard to capture in a photograph! This puzzle was surprising- some parts came together really quickly while I spent a bit more time on others. But I love the overall image :)
