Patriotic Farm

Brand: Cardinal
Pieces: 500
Size: 35.56cm x 55.88cm
Product Code:  -

Now, I'm not American, but I understand that today is a very important day for Americans so I have decided to put this one up for them.

Today is Independence Day, and while I would have preferred to put up a puzzle of the film cover (if such a puzzle exists) I have instead found this puzzle in my collection of a very patriotic-looking farm (hence the title).

I enjoyed this little puzzle despite the enormous over-the-top flag on the barn- the pieces were small and well-made and the colours were vibrant. I know it vaguely suits the theme of 4th of July, but I'm not overly fond of patriotic gestures to country so I'm not really fussed about it otherwise. All I have to say is that it was small, fun, and relatively quick to do.

I hope to have some time to do some new puzzles over the next few weeks so we'll see what's up next!

Portofino, Italy

Brand: Cardinal
Pieces: 500
Size: 27.9cm x 35.5cm
Product Code:  -

I felt like putting up a travel scene today- a beautiful aerial shot of the coastal town of Portofino in Italy,

I have never been here but I adore the colourful view of this place, with its brightly painted buildings alongside vibrant blue water. It has a nice summery feel in comparison to the cold greyness of home right now.

This puzzle had quite small pieces (which, as you probably remember, I absolutely love) and the colours were vibrant. The pieces fit well together too, which is always a bonus with these cheaper brands.

Underwater Sanctuary

Brand: Cardinal
Pieces: 500
Size: 35.5cm x 27.9cm
Product Code:  -

I've always loved images of dolphins, whales and other exotic and colourful marine life.

There is just something so tranquil about these designs, with their aquamarine water- it almost feels as though you are part of this underwater landscape, frolicking with the creatures as they swim among the brightly coloured coral. Although I know that scenes like this one are fanciful and the reality is much different, I still enjoy doing puzzles like this one every now and then.

This Cardinal puzzle had very small pieces but they fit together really well to produce this well-designed image. The vibrant colours and busy scenery made it interesting to complete- there was always something different to look at as you put the pieces together.

I've really grown to enjoy doing puzzles from this brand- they have a wide range of designs and the quality is usually really good.

Classic London

Brand: Pintoo (Showpiece XS)
Pieces: 253
Size: 18.3cm x 8.8cm
Product Code: P1169

A couple of my friends are visiting the UK at the moment, to take part in their friend's wedding, and so I decided to use that as a reference for my puzzle-posting today.

This puzzle is from the wonderful Asian company Pintoo. I have done several of their puzzles in the past. While they also create flat puzzles, they have a lot of 3D-style ones too (like vases, lanterns, flower pots and screens).

This one is a flat one, but it comes with an easel-type stand to display it on. As far as I know, all of their puzzles are made from the same thick plastic, and the quality is fantastic.

This puzzle was no exception.

The pieces fit together snugly to produce a perfect little picture of London- the famous Tower Bridge and an iconic bright red phone booth.

I will definitely continue to purchase from this brand.
