History Of The Holden Ute
Brand: Post Age Jigsaw Puzzles
Pieces: 1000
Size: 48.9cm x 71.7cm
Product Code: HJ06
I thought I'd go for a car one today...
Lately I've been taking note of all the done-up old-school cars that have been driving around my area (I think there must have been some classic car shows on recently), and this puzzle reminds me of that. My dad also recently bought an old Austin from the 50's which he intends to do up at some point, so my puzzle choice was also inspired by that!
This design could be looked at as a nice piece of history, and features a collage of Holden utes throughout the years- perfect for a Holden fan. The pieces are good quality and went together nicely. The colours are also quite vibrant.
This puzzle comes in a collector's tin so it makes a great gift for Holden enthusiasts!

Cute Labrador Puppies In A Picnic Basket
Brand: Puzzlebug
Pieces: 100
Size: 22cm x 28cm
Product Code: -
When people celebrate a day just for cats (a la a few weeks back), you know someone will also have to introduce a special day just for our canine friends.
And that day is tomorrow.
National Dog Day or Dog Appreciation Day is held on August 26 (although I'm not sure if this is just an American thing or not). Regardless, I thought I'd put up a photo of some pups, just in the interest of keeping things fair (and also because I tend to prefer dogs over cats haha).
This Puzzlebug puzzle was quick to do (being only 100 pieces) but the image is cute and relevant. I'll have to see if I can find a more challenging dog puzzle for next year's post!

Disney Pixar Movies
Brand: Ravensburger
Pieces: 1000
Size: 70cm x 50cm
Product Code: 192229
Today feels like a Disney Pixar kind of day. I have no reasoning for this, except that I haven't posted a Disney puzzle for a while (and I have a few in my collection that I still haven't put up).
This design from Ravensburger was quick and easy to do, and features some of the most popular characters/ films from Disney and Pixar's collaborations. I actually ended up doing parts of this puzzle twice because when I was moving it, half of the puzzle slid off the board and fell onto the ground in pieces! I almost cried! Luckily I didn't lose any of the pieces and was able to put it all back together but it was a very frustrating process.
This puzzle is perfect for animated film buffs and Disney Pixar fans in general.

Rosina Wachtmeister: All Together
Brand: Heye
Pieces: 2000
Size: 97cm x 69cm
Product Code: 29132
A few days ago it was International Cat Day (August 8).
Now, I'm not a huge fan of felines, and I don't quite understand how they can have a day dedicated to them, but I had this puzzle in my collection and thought it would be fitting to put it up regardless.
Despite my slight aversion to the creatures, I was still drawn into this design by Rosina Wachtmeister- a popular and talented Austrian artist. You've probably seen her distinctive cat artworks before- Heye have produced quite a few puzzles from her designs.
The quality of the pieces was excellent and I was particularly interested in the gold foil sections of the design, which really added some 'oomph' to the overall look of the finished puzzle (I tried my best to get a good photo that highlights these gold parts but sometimes it was difficult with the reflecting).
This is one of the bigger puzzles that I have done to date, and I wish I could do more. If space wasn't an issue, I totally would!

The Twelve Apostles, Vic
Brand: Ken Duncan Images Of Australia (Crown & Andrews) -The World's Most Beautiful Jigsaw Puzzles
Pieces: 504
Size: 64cm x 24cm
Product Code: -
I'm lucky enough to live near one of Australia's popular natural tourist attractions- The Twelve Apostles. Located along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, this natural formation along the coast is slowly eroding away but still draws thousands of tourists every year who stop along the roadside to view the picturesque sight.
I have decided to put this puzzle up today in association with an event that is running at the moment- although admittedly there's a little bit of a stretch. As you head towards the Great Ocean Road, in Bellbrae, there is an amazing place called The Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery.
Now, I've never been there but I have many friends and family members who vouch for the place and insist on me going there at some point. I absolutely want to but I need to find the time! Anyway, at the moment, they're holding a Hot Chocolate Festival and it sounds amazing. If you end up going along the Great Ocean Road to visit the Twelve Apostles and other landmarks, then you should definitely make a stop at the chocolaterie on the way!
Sooo, plug over- back to the puzzle! This puzzle is of a panoramic image taken by Ken Duncan- a renowned Australian photographer. The colours and quality of this puzzle were outstanding, and the image is a truly beautiful representation of Australia's natural wonders.
I have a few other puzzles from this collection which I hope to do soon- the images are just so vibrant- making these into perfect reminders of travel memories, or enticing additions to a travel bucket list.
