Cancer

Brand: Cobble Hill

Pieces: 500
Size:  67.6cm x 48.9cm

Product Code: 45014

Time to continue with my horoscope puzzles! Looking at the stats, it doesn't appear that these puzzles are as popular as I thought they would be. The number for views and likes of them drops significantly in comparison to puzzles of different images. Regardless, I am going to continue putting up the series because:

a) I like them

b) I've been actually doing them!

c) If you're hanging out to see your particular star sign and it hasn't come up yet, I don't want to stop midway

d) I'm doing this for myself, not for the amount of social media love they get

On a different note, tickets for the AJPA Nationals event went on presale yesterday and I've secured my ticket for the solos competition. I can't wait! Will you be attending the competition? Will you be competing?

I now have three comps lined up for this year- need to get practicing!

Taurus

Brand: Cobble Hill

Pieces: 500
Size:  67.6cm x 48.9cm

Product Code: 45012

Well I've finally gotten around to the Zodiac series again, and only a few days past the dates for Taurus. I hope to be more up to date for the next one! I'm a Taurus and I believe the characteristics for the star-sign are quite accurate - you won't find anyone as stubborn as me! haha! I've enjoyed doing this series and look forward to posting the rest of the designs as they come up throughout the year.

In the meantime, there's been a bit of puzzling news - the Australian Jigsaw Puzzle Association (AJPA) yesterday released presale tickets for the Victorian State Competition to be held at Malvern Town Hall on August 9. Did you get your ticket? I bought mine pretty much as soon as they went on sale, and apparently over 60% of the solo competition tickets were sold in the first 2 hours! Crazy! But good! I'm really looking forward to it - the event has been so fun over the last few years...

In other news, Reverie Puzzles just had another launch this morning with more beautiful designs released. Make sure you check it out!

Until next week...

Aquarius

Brand: Cobble Hill

Pieces: 500
Size:  67.6cm x 48.9cm

Product Code: 45021

So much for trying to keep up to date with series images as they happen!

I was planning to put up each of these horoscope puzzles within the dates that they are suited, and I've already missed the second one by a few days! I realised on the day of the switch over (I should have put this one up last weekend) but oh well, better late than never I guess!

I'll try to keep with it as the year progresses but no guarantees I'll be on time haha

I'm really liking this collection- do you usually collect the whole sets of puzzle designs when they're released? I have a whole load of collections but unfortunately, not the time to do them all. I really need to sit down and dedicate some time to completing a set or two...although it doesn't help when new puzzle collections are released so often!

What do you think is the best way to tackle this dilemma? I'd love to hear from you!

Capricorn

Brand: Cobble Hill

Pieces: 500
Size:  67.6cm x 48.9cm

Product Code: 45020

A while ago, I came across these zodiac puzzles from Cobble Hill.

There is one for each star sign and each has a beautiful illustration, as well as all the 'essential' information for that particular sign.

Although I am fascinated by this sort of thing, I generally don't believe in their 'reality'. In a similar vein, I love crystals and collect them, but only because they are really pretty rocks, not because of the 'mystical qualities' they are supposed to evoke.

I have decided to try and get each of the star sign puzzles completed within their 'dates' and put them up throughout the year, and Capricorn is the first off the rank. The pieces are irregularly shaped, but the quality is good so they come together quite quickly.

Do you believe in star signs and horoscopes? Or are you like me, with a fascination of astrology but no keen interest in believing it?

Whatever the case, the subject matter can produce some very pretty puzzle designs!

Zodiac Power

Brand: Galison

Pieces: 1000
Size: 68.6cm x 50.8cm

Product Code: -

I felt the need to put up a bright and fun design today, after the muted, pastel palettes of last week's Barbie puzzle, so here it is!

This puzzle from Galison ticks all the boxes for bright colours and interesting graphics. It was fun to put together- each zodiac sign had a specific colour so it almost felt like I was doing twelve mini puzzles and joining them together. I even played a little game with myself as I was doing it, to see which star-sign would be completed first!

I've done a few zodiac/horoscope-themed puzzles even though I generally have no interest in the ideas behind them. I just find them fascinating to do.

Have you done any puzzles like this?
