Mickey & Friends Dance Party

Brand: Yanoman (Petit)

Pieces: 204
Size: 10cm x 14.7cm

Product Code: 98-579

Today I've decided to put up a mini puzzle I completed some time ago. This puzzle is postcard-sized when completed and I purchased it from a Japanese website a few years ago. I love how it has such tiny pieces, especially when you consider there are over 200 pieces. The design is a cute Mickey Mouse one and although it's hard to capture all the details in my photo, I can guarantee that it is very high quality!

Sorry I don't have time to write much more about this one today- I'm extremely short on time but I thought I'd better post something (no matter how little) regardless.

What's the smallest size puzzle you've ever done (count or dimensions wise?)

Love Equals Love

Brand: Buffalo (Vivid Collection)

Pieces: 300
Size: 38cm x 54cm

Product Code: 22109

It's Pride time!

From the 17th of February until the 5th of March this year, Sydney will be hosting WorldPride, which celebrates Australia's brilliant and diverse LGBTQIA+ community. What better way to embrace this than to put up a puzzle that celebrates love!

I found this puzzle on an American website when they were having a Buffalo sale and the vibrant colours and sentiment stood out to me. I absolutely loved the design, and even though it was a smaller piece count than I usually buy (300 pieces), I had to get it. I just love the illustration!

The pieces fit together perfectly, in the usual Buffalo style. It actually took me a little longer to do than I expected, thanks to the background, but once I had the main parts down, it came together quickly enough.

This was a great little puzzle and I'm glad I purchased it.

Barbie's 60th Anniversary

Brand: Ravensburger

Pieces: 500
Size: 49cm x 36cm

Product Code: 150199

Today is my baby girl's 2nd birthday, so I'm gonna keep this short and sweet so I can get everything organised before she wakes up.

She has recently started to enjoy playing with my old childhood Barbie dolls, and now has a couple of her own too, so I thought this was a good choice for today's puzzle.

I have recently purchased a few Barbie puzzles that have become available and love them for nostalgic reasons! This one celebrates the 60th anniversary of their creation (although I think it's a couple of years older now). It was relatively quick to do (working in colour blocks) and I love how vibrant the colours are.

Like I said, I have purchased a few Barbie puzzles lately and can't wait to get to them. I'm so glad they're becoming available again. I'm even more excited about the actual Barbie dolls and how they've changed so dramatically to include all skin and body types to make them more inclusive for the kids playing with them!

OK, best be off now... birthday celebrations await!

Typefaces

Brand: Ravensburger

Pieces: 500
Size: 49cm x 36cm

Product Code: 168309

This puzzle photo has been sitting in my pile for a while and I wasn't really sure when I would have the chance to put it up- until recently.

It just never seemed relevant for what was happening in my life.

But I now have the perfect opportunity for it!

On Instagram, @yeahpuzzles has organised a global competition where people are invited to #puzzlethealphabet. The rules are quite simple- find and complete puzzles for each letter of the alphabet, post them in your stories with the 'secret symbol' - which is anything with a heart on it- and then she will collate all the photos to put you into the draw to win prizes from various sponsors.

It's been so cool to see all the different puzzles that people have been entering for this competition, although it's really not helping my addiction to puzzle collecting- I'm seeing more that I really want to buy!

#puzzlethealphabet will be running throughout all of February, and anyone with an Instagram account can join. Visit @yeahpuzzles page for information on the rules and requirements to enter.

If I had done the above puzzle in the February timeframe I could have entered it as part of the competition under 'T' (Typefaces) or 'R' (Ravensburger), but I have since done and sold this one on.

I liked how, just looking at the faces, they could just appear to be faces. But, knowing the context of them (and that they are representative of different letters), your brain is able to 'see' those letters. That was so poorly explained, but I don't know how else to describe it! It's a great puzzle regardless, and you should consider doing it!

Anyway, enough of my terrible explanation. Have yourself a look at the Instagram competiton- it's a lot of fun!
