Goosebumps Classic Book Covers

Brand: Outset Media Corp.
Pieces: 275
Size: 61cm x 46cm
Product Code: PRC-300923-052015

Hands up if you used to read the children's book series Goosebumps when you were a kid?
Insanely popular in the 1990s, R.L. Stine's novels were the thing to read, and even spawned their own television series. The books, while not particularly scary, were the catalyst to get many kids reading- including those who never showed much of an interest in books beforehand!

I, being an avid reader anyway, absolutely devoured these books, and had quite a collection of them (as did one of my brothers). When I saw this puzzle, I knew I had to do it for nostalgic reasons, even though the piece count is quite small compared to my usual standard. The puzzle was quick, fun and easy, with a variety of different shaped large pieces. The cardboard was thick and the design brightly printed.

Although it only covers a selection of the book covers, it was still a treat to do, and provided a lovely walk down memory lane...

Big Red Barn With Dairy Cows, Wisconsin

Brand: Puzzlebug
Pieces: 500
Size: 46cm x 28cm
Product Code: -

I'm not really sure why I decided to put this one up today. Maybe I just needed a scene that was bright and a little bit rural to mix things up a bit...

This Puzzlebug puzzle was quick and easy to do, with a unique design and bright colours. I have really come to enjoy seeing what designs are available in this range, as they always have something distinctly different. As always, the quality was as expected for a cheap and budget puzzle brand, but with the range of designs so varied, I don't really mind for something different.

Disney Frozen Friends

Brand: Ravensburger
Pieces: 200
Size: 57cm x 24cm
Product Code: 128013

I was in the mood for Disney today, and what better than the fantastic film Frozen

Even though this is just a 200 piece puzzle, and quite simple compared to my usual puzzle completions, I thought the design was cute and well worth doing. Produced by Ravensburger, the quality is there, as expected. This panoramic puzzle is perfect for fans of the film (young and old) and, considering I've updated the app on my iPad and started playing the Frozen game again, putting this puzzle up in relation to my life is quite appropriate!

I hope you're enjoying seeing all the puzzles that I've put up lately. Remember, if there is a particular puzzle design or theme you would like to see me put up, please let me know and I'll try my best to accommodate you. I have so many puzzles in my collection, I'm sure I'll be able to find something to match your expectations. And if not, I'm always happy to buy more! lol.

Jenny Sanders: Running On Empty

Brand: Blue Opal
Pieces: 1000
Size: 70cm x 50cm
Product Code: BL01905

I'm not sure why, but I really like these collections of puzzles by Blue Opal that feature the artworks of Australian artist Jenny Sanders. I have already posted up quite a few of them and have plenty more in my collection to do. Not only is the quality of the pieces great, but the designs are just perfect representations of classic Australian cars in 'their natural environment' (whatever that means, haha).

I have always admired old, done-up cars, although there is no way I would be able to maintain or drive them myself. While a few of my friends have restored some in real life, the closest I think I'll be getting to them (besides being a passenger in one) is to do these puzzles!

This one features a lovely old green Holden (I don't know what kind of make it is but I'm sure someone could tell me!) in front of an old-school cafe (seemingly in the middle of nowhere). The colours are vibrant and the design layout made it pretty easy to piece together- the only challenge really came in the colours of the sky but even the gradual shading in the colours made it less difficult than it could have been.

There will be more of these Jenny Sanders car puzzles on the way in this blog so if you're not a fan of them (as I am) then you'll probably be a bit disappointed! C'est la vie!
