Disney Group Photo

Brand: Ravensburger
Pieces: 1000
Size: 98cm x 37.5cm
Product Code:  151097

I don't often do panoramic jigsaw puzzles.

While they are marginally rarer than your average rectangular puzzle, I don't think that's the reason why I do less of them.

I think it's mostly because they are such an awkward shape- it can sometimes be difficult to find a board that is long enough to do one on!

This week, however, I have decided to put up a panoramic one, featuring a multitude of Disney characters. This puzzle had to be long in length to be able to fit in so many popular heroes and villains! This is a delightful Ravensburger puzzle, and fans of the Disney franchise will love seeing everyone gathered together under a starry sky.

Fairly quick to do if you recognise the characters, this puzzle is of fantastic quality and fits together nicely.

Recommended.

Magical Unicorns

Brand: Ravensburger
Pieces: 500
Size: 49cm x 36cm
Product Code:  147434

I am astounded at the amount of love last week's puzzle- The Greatest City On Earth- received on Instagram!
Manhattan is obviously a very beloved city throughout the world, as evident by the amount of people who liked and commented on the picture I put up!

This week's puzzle is probably less likely to have an impact, but I still thought it was a terrific puzzle to do...

There appears to be a unicorn trend currently sweeping the world (or my part of Australia, anyway) and I decided to do this puzzle because of it. In this new design from Ravensburger, these mystical creatures are featured in front of a castle and surrounded by a tropical wonderland. The colours of the flowers and plants are spectacular, and the large full moon behind them only adds to the magical wonder of the design.

If you know someone who loves fantasy artwork or unicorns, then this Ravensburger offering may be just what you need.

The Greatest City On Earth

Brand: Cardinal
Pieces: 500
Size: 35.5cm x 27.9cm
Product Code:  -

Although I've never been to Manhattan (or even New York for that matter), I've always been interested in going.

Perhaps this is because I have seen so many films and television shows that are set there- the power of the screen!

While I can't necessarily agree with the title of this puzzle- The Greatest City On Earth- I certainly believe that it has a lot going for it! I would love the chance to one day go to the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, The Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge, among many of the other tourist sites to see. For the time being, however, I'll have to settle for looking at images (in the form of puzzles), if I want to view these places.

This puzzle was a pleasure to do, with very small pieces, and provided a detailed illustration of Manhattan's attractions. I'm not sure quite how old this puzzle is, but it must have been released before 2001, because the World Trade Centre Twin Towers are in the design, and I highly doubt that the artist would draw them in after the terrible events of September 11. That said, the design is still quite a good representation of Manhattan's highlights and would make a great memento for anyone who loves traveling through this amazing city.

Cuddlies: Australian Tea Ceremony

Brand: Endeavour
Pieces: 108
Size: 41cm x 29cm
Product Code:  -

Well it's been nearly a year to the day since I first began this blog. I think I've made a pretty good effort at regularly posting (once every Saturday), and my Instagram has grown as a result.

I've really enjoyed putting up pictures of the puzzles I have been doing (and a little bit of information about them) and I will continue to do so.

To mark this year, I had a read back through some of my earlier posts. I noticed, however, that I didn't seem to write as much in each one as I do now- oh well!

I also noticed that in my introduction, at the very beginning, I talked about a puzzle I could remember doing as a child which featured an Australian bush scene and koalas drinking tea. At the time, I didn't have the box near me, and wrongly called it Bush Breakfast. I also said it was about 200 pieces or so.

I was wrong.

I have since found the puzzle and decided to do it to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of this blog. It is actually called Australian Tea Ceremony, is only 108 pieces, and is pictured above. This puzzle is so old, and I don't think that the brand Endeavour (from Brisbane, Australia) even exists anymore, but it was good to get it out for nostalgia sake. All the pieces were still in the box too- bonus!

I hope you've enjoyed reading my blog so far. I will continue to put up posts in the future for your reading/ viewing pleasure...

Cheers!
