Fish School by Corinne Ferguson

Brand:
Puzzle Collector Art (Lafayette Puzzle Factory)

Pieces: 1000
Size: 51cm x 68cm

Product Code: -

During these colder months, I know a lot of people who are travelling overseas to escape the winter chill.

This time around, I'm lucky enough to be one of them- I will be travelling with my little family (and my husband's family) to beautiful Vanuatu next week! That means I won't be posting next Saturday as I usually do- you'll get a week off from me!

Because I don't have any puzzle images of Vanuatu, I figured the next best option would be to put up a photo of a puzzle I did many years ago (and have not yet posted).

It features a multitude of colourful tropical fish- some of which I hope to see when snorkelling. And if I don't see any like them? It won't matter cos I'll still be in Vanuatu!

This puzzle was so colourful, and quite easy to do in colour/pattern blocks.

Have a great week and I'll see you in a few!

Vintage Games

Brand: Ravensburger

Pieces: 1000
Size: 70cm x 50cm

Product Code: 194063

I've decided to put this older puzzle up today, as it has been sitting in my photo collection for quite a while and I thought it might be time to show it.

The weather lately has been pretty lousy- cold, wet and miserable- which is the perfect time to get out the old gameboards and play something different. This puzzle features all of the classics, such as cards, bingo, checkers, dominoes and a whole lot more. The vintage style is really accentuated with the colours chosen for the design.

This puzzle was easy enough to do, once you sorted by different features.

Do you have a go-to in your games cupboard for cold winter nights?

Pearling At Dampier

Brand:
 Mr Bob Puzzles

Pieces: 252
Size: 38cm x 38cm

Product Code: -

This week is NAIDOC Week in Australia (which stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee)- a week when we celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

I have several puzzles that feature Aboriginal artwork and I had planned on getting them done in time for this week, but alas, time slipped away (as usual) and I wasn't able to complete them.

One puzzle I had already completed, however, was this wooden one from Mr Bob Puzzles, featuring the artwork of Emma Blyth. I thought this image was absolutely beautiful when I first saw it, and thought it might be relevant to the theme this week. This puzzle had several whimsy pieces like flowers, leaves, and a kangaroo within Australia, amongst others. The pieces fit together well and the quality was wonderful.

If you haven't yet done a wooden puzzle from Mr Bob Puzzles, you should get onto it! They might be a bit pricey but they're well worth it!
